After a successful Medemblik Regatta, SLAM and the organisation decided to continue the cooperation. In 2018 the brand joined the Regatta for the first time as official clothing partner, and it was a success. Director of DutchMint, the Dutch distributeur, Jeroen van Stijn: “We enjoyed a cool event where we were able to put SLAM in the spotlight as a brand.”

“During the regatta we presented a part of the new skiff collection and the new generation sailing gear to the top sailors. We gained a lot of positive reactions on both collections. Both on quality and design, SLAM is a very strong brand in this combination. The collection is now available for everyone via our dealers.”

With SLAM as the ‘official clothing partner’ of the Medemblik Regatta, a strong international brand is connected to the regatta. During the last edition in 2018, the whole crew was wearing SLAM clothing and the leaders of the fleet sailed around in SLAM bibs.

DutchMint is the Dutch distributeur of SLAM, with this cooperation the brand wants to strengthen there position in the Netherlands. Van Stijn: “We’ve worked hard to put SLAM in the spotlight for the last couple of years. We’ve mostly worked on our relation with the Dutch dealers. The next logical step is to introduce the brand to the sailors and watersport fans. SLAM has always been progressive in its product development and design. The Medemblik Regatta is an international event for top sailors and is known for its good organisation and innovation. The cooperation for the 34th edition of the regatta worked out very good, we are happy to sign the contract for the next years!”

DutchMint is also a distributeur of the brand Ocean Rodeo, Rooster and TBS. Ocean Rodeo is a Canadese watersport brand specialized in kitesurf gear and dry suits. Rooster has a strong skiff collection, with special lines for women and kids. TBS is a nautical lifestyle brand from France with a distinctive collection of boating shoes.

The organisation of the Medemblik Regatta is looking forward to the ongoing cooperation with SLAM.
